Vision

The Nutrition and Foodservice Education Foundation envisions a society that achieves good health through enlightened practices in nutrition and foodservice.

Mission

The Nutrition and Foodservice Education Foundation supports and strengthens the foodservice and nutrition profession through research, education, charitable and awareness-building activities, enhancing the profession’s ability to improve individual and public health.

Brand Description

The Nutrition and Foodservice Education Foundation supports the goals of ANFP and works to strengthen the overall nutrition and foodservice profession in several ways.  By strengthening the profession overall, the Foundation helps support its vision of a society made healthier through enlightened nutrition and foodservice practices.

  • Education. The Foundation provides educational opportunities to help advance the careers of promising individuals who are committed to the field of nutrition and foodservice. It also helps support general education initiatives aimed at deepening the knowledge, skills and expertise of everyone in the profession.
  • Best practices and standard-setting. The Foundation supports initiatives that lead to better standards of quality for the nutrition and foodservice profession and to the development of best practices.
  • Research support. The Foundation encourages and supports research intended to help advance the profession and ensure dining experiences for the public that are nutritionally sound, safe and fulfilling.
  • Public awareness. Through consumer outreach, the Foundation helps raise public awareness of the importance of proper nutrition and foodservice management in achieving good health.

Scholarship Opportunities

Who May Contribute

Individuals, corporations and other foundations may contribute tax deductible funds and other resources, such as training materials, computers and the like. The contributions can be given to support all programs or they can be earmarked for specific projects.

The Foundation Board of Trustees will approve all allocations of donations. The use of funds and acceptance of resources must be consistent with the Foundation's mission and goals and not in conflict with ANFP's mission and goals.

The Foundation is an IRS 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization. Individuals and corporations may claim specified tax deductions. Contributions can be made to the Foundation by:

- Click above 'Donate Now' button.

- Sending a check of any amount you choose.

- Designating gifts to honor loved ones and professional colleagues, living or deceased.

- Naming the Foundation in your will or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

ANFP members may also make a donation to the NFEF when they pay their dues online.

Making Contributions

The NFE Foundation is proud to support scholarship opportunities for dietary managers and students. Special scholarships are available for members to cover registration fees and help offset travel expenses to ANFP educational events! These include: National Leadership Conference, 2-Day Regional Meetings, Leadership Institute, and international exchanges through HCI. Student Scholarships are available to students accepted into or currently enrolled in an ANFP-approved training program. If you have any questions, please contact Karen Cassidy.
